Welcome to a playful exercise. Nature experience are in focus. We have several ski school areas placed in Oslo and surrounding with more than 160 qualified ski instructors.
The children will learn basic cross-country skills. The ski courses are snow safe with snow production.
To sign up for a course you should enter the participant's membership number (if your child is a member) and date of birth in the registration form.
You can register multiple children at the same time if they are attending the same course. If they are attending different courses, you must log out and log in again with the new child's membership number.
Children from 3–12 years old can participate at the Children's ski school
(the child must have turned 3 years old in 2025 to join the course).
The course runs over five weekends at 7 different skischool places. The child participates either on Saturdays or Sundays.
3 years old = born 2022, must be 3 within 2025 (NB! The course is for children with parents on skis)
4 year old = born 2021
5 and 6 years old = born 2020 or 2019
7 and 8 years old = born 2018 or 2017
(born in 2016, 2014, 2013 or 2013) is offered in Sørkedalen, Asker and Ringkollen.
This course is offered in Asker, Greverud, Sollihøgda, Sørkedalen.
4 year old (born in 2021) to 8 year old (born in 2017).
You can either sign up for one child with one parent or two children with one parent. The child and parent has to attend the course with skies on. The cours is based on playful activities together.
Registration opens for members of Skiforeningen only. The participating children must be a member of Skiforeningen.

We are now offering courses on saturday at Ringkollen.
At Ringkollen, we offer a 5-week course as well as a pilot project introducing a 3-week course.
The 3-week course will provide a brief introduction to the basics of cross-country skiing through play and activities in the snow.

For the weekend courses, we do not offer regular rental of skis and boots. However, it is possible to borrow equipment through BUA for the weekend courses. Visit bua.no for more information. You can also buy second hand skies at finn.no.
Yes, unfortunately, we are not able to wax the skis for all the children. If you’re unsure about waxing, the instructors will of course help when you arrive. Many children use wax-free skis/skins, which also work very well.
"Nesten ungdom" (Almost teen) is a course offered for children aged 9–12 (born in 2013, 2014, 2015, or 2016). The course focuses on play and activities to teach basic skiing skills. These courses are held in Sørkedalen, Asker and Ringkollen.
On weekdays, there is one instructor per 8–10 children.
On weekends, there is generally one instructor per 8 children.
Yes, we offer family courses at several ski school locations. The course is for one or two children between the ages of 4–8 (born between 2018 and 2021), accompanied by a parent or guardian who participates each time.
Both child and adult has to wear skis. The course is based on play and activities that promote basic skiing development. The child is in the focus. The child and the adult are on skis together throughout the course. In the family course, we want the child to feel safe with a parent by their side. All activities are done together with the child on skis.
