Skiforeningen offers free spots for children from low-income families.
We also provide free loan of skiing equipment if the child is granted a free spot.
The free spot program ensures that everyone gets the opportunity to experience the joy of snow and skiing. Barnas skiskole is an inclusive arena.
Funds from the “Barne-, ungdoms- og familiedirektoratet” (BUFDIR) and “Barnas skifond” (Children’s ski fund in Skiforeningen) ensure that Barnas skiskole is available to all.
Applications for free spots are handled confidentially. The number of free spots is limited. The forms to be filled in is available on this page. It will not be revealed which children make use of free spots.
Employees in kindergarten/SFO/AKS or guardians can apply for a free spot for a child within 15th of October each year. After this deadline, we will allocate free spots as long as the funds last.
A free spot includes free participation in a course as well as transport to and from the ski school, if the kindergarten/SFO/AKS make use of the bus transport offered.
If the kindergarten/SFO/AKS pays for the ski school, it’s possible for them to apply for a free spot for children from low-income families.
