The Holmenkollen scarf has been re-launched, 53 years after the first one was made.
The Holmenkollen Scarf The Perfect Christmas Gift for Yourself or Someone You Love!
The Holmenkollen Scarf was first launched in 1946, in connection with the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival after World War II.
The scarf quickly became a popular garment. It was used to keep warm on ski trips, as a beach cover-up or as a tablecloth. It was an accessory suitable for everyday use and special occasions. It was worn by royalty and common people alike and was sold at the annual Holmenkollen Ski Festival.
In celebration of the Ski Museum’s 100th anniversary we have created a new Holmenkollen Scarf. With a nod to history, Ingjerd Sandven has designed two new motifs that convey the joy and playfulness of skiing.
The new scarf comes in two versions. One cotton version displaying a motif with elements and colours inspired by the vintage Holmenkollen Scarves, and a silk scarf with a more playful design that embraces both old and new skiing techniques.
The scarves are printed in a limited edition and sold exclusively at the Ski Museum's gift shop.
