Learn the art and joy of nordic skiing you and join one of our courses, which are taught in English. Discover why this is one of the most popular of all winter sports, and experience the winter in Norway in a new way! At our ski course you will learn new techniques that will keep you balanced and comfortable while skiing. Our skiing-instructors are experienced and educated instructors, and the courses are taking place on groomed tracks.

Our courses follow governance guidelines for distance and safety. All participants are encouraged to avoid puplic transport on their way to courses. Do not meet in case of sicknes.

BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT OUR COURSES
Meetingpoint for courses on Saturdays at Øvresetertjern: Øvresetertjern is a small lake 500m above Frognerseteren towards Tryvann. The meetingpoint is by the Skiforeningens information board on the right hand side of the road (parking lot is on the left side of the road).
Meetingpoint for courses on Mondays at Maridalen: at the parking spot at Låkeberget - the first parking spot at left hand side of the road two kilometers past Brekkekrysset (the entrance of Maridalen). The instructor will meet you where the ski track starts.
Meetingpoint for courses on Wednesdays at Fossum: at the red garage 100m below Fossum clubhouse. For road directions please follow this link.
WHO CAN JOIN?
From 17 years and older. We have courses are suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Which should you choose?
Beginners: you have never tried cross country skiing before, and this is your first time on "skinny skis".
Some experience: You have tried cross country skiing a couple of times and feel that you are able to keep your balance most of the time. Now you need to improve your technique.
On both courses we focus on gliding (called diagonal skiing), proper use of the ski poles (called poling and double-poling), and other important techniques. All skiing is on groomed tracks.

The registration page is only available in Norwegian. Choose between different courses and places to see if there are available course spots. Fill in your contact information, and your membership number (if you are a member of Skiforeningen) and proceed to the shopping cart.
We do offer a large number of courses thaught in Norwegian. Those courses are for both classic skiing and skating, on different levels. In addition we have couple of courses for kids and youth. Check our Norwegian course page for more information
